Marc Brown

Associate Youth / Pastor

Marc grew up in Dunlap, IL and worked in agricultural business sector prior to entering the ministry in 2004.  His desire is to walk with those he encounters and explore what it means to be in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  Marc serves in the areas of Jr. and Sr. High youth, young adults, worship and in the general ministry of Wesley UMC.  Marc and his wife, Laura, live in Canton with their three children:  Izak, Esther, and Josiah.

Worship Arts / Youth Ministries

I serve in the worship arts ministry at Wesley Church. I work with the worship planning team on all aspects of Sunday morning worship services and special events, lead the praise band, direct the technical team at Wesley Ministry Center, and lead worship at the 11:00 Genesis service. I am grateful for my Wesley Church family and the opportunities to grow as we worship God together.

Worship Arts

I am the Traditional Worship Arts Director @ the North Campus. I direct the Chancel and Memorial Bells choirs (adults), the Sanctuary Bells (youth) and the Cadet Bells (gr. 4,5,6) I oversee the acolytes, ushers, Communion preparations, a part of the Worship Planning team, and I serve as the staff rep on the Worship Works Committee.

Children's Ministries

I am the Children’s ministry Director...that covers: Kidz Club, Sunday School and the Know Zone. I love hanging out with my cat solo, he’s the craziest and most fun little fellow. I am an aunt to over 35 kiddos and I love being around them and I find great joy in bringing Jesus into their lives! I am so thankful to now also call Wesley my home! Thanks for making me part of the family here!

I oversee the Young Adult Ministry with my wife Melissa. I am the proud father of Elijah and love playing and singing with the Praise Team band.

I have been a member of Wesley Church since my marriage 50 years ago. My responsibilities are: Senior Ministry, Stephen Ministry, Scheduling of babysitters, and I serve as staff liaison with the Family Life Committee. I love to spend time in the nursing homes & establishing relationships with the seniors of the church.

I am the Treasurer and I handle all out going resources-that means I get to pay the bills! I also work with the Trustee and Financial committees of the church. My husband Charlie and I enjoy snowmobiling and I love volunteering at Kidz Club with the pre-school .

I serve as the Financial Secretary. I am now responsible for all the incoming financial transactions of the church. I have been married to Randy for 30 years. Our youngest son, Seth graduates from Canton High School in May.
